you won't believe this but my smarty-smart, but not so handy-handy husband woke up sunday morning and said "i feel like being handy today." yes those were literally the first words that came out of his mouth.
who am i to argue. i knew what needed to be done and i figured what is there to lose? worst case scenario...we call a plumber and a locksmith.
eric successfully fixed gracie's door handle, put a new handle on the door to the garage...one that locks even, AND REPLACED THE KITCHEN FAUCET with a new one!!! the only thing that didn't turn out so well was the constantly running toilet.
i finally took some pictures of my december daily. i am almost done. had to interrupt the creativity for a busy weekend and house cleaning. not all the pages have journaling spots on there. will work that into the page as i figure out what picture/ephemera to incorporate for each day.
day one
annie was my helper. she doesn't ever sit still. hence the blur. i think this is my favorite page. i stitched across a n 8 by 8 page protector to keep the 1 in place. i am thinking a photo on the top and a journaling card stapled on the outside but next to the 1.
day two
day two is annie's birthday so i cut up a baseball card like protector that has four slots on each side for some wallet sized photos. a little journaling card and an acrylic "2" playing card that i had in my stash from some kit club.
day three
making memories acrylic page cut with a scallop edge
day four
pre cut scallop edge chipboard from the lss. i punched the little holes. it's gingerbread house making at gracie's school that night.
day five
super proud of this one. i figure out how to use this png file in pse 6. i am so stupid when it comes to pse. so happy i figured it out! i used a template and cut the scallop.
day 6
cute little envelope, perfect for a little letter or something
day seven
precut heavy acrylic sheet (from lss) backed with paper
day eight
wish this wasn't blurry. LOVE this page! i cut down the page protector and sewed down the side to close it up. plan on putting a picture in between the MERRY and the 8
day nine
acrylic and pattern paper sewn together
day ten
another journaling card from ali edwards. so happy i figured how to put the lines in!
day eleven
a little bag that was the packaging for something i ordered off etsy. i saved it for over a year hoping to put it to good use one day.
day twelve
another divided page protector
that's all for now. stay tuned.
